2/1/21 — Congratulations to our Of the Year winners for Year two, and happy Spring on Uncharted! We've had a few changes to our Account Maintenance and Enroll system that can be found in the change log here.

1/1/21 — Happy New Year, everyone! We've made several changes to the site to usher in 2021. You can check them all out here! Be sure to view the IC current events, too, for new and fun opportunities.

12/1/20 — Our Wayfinders have completed their Quest! Some have been rewarded, but others... certainly have not. Gem Mining has begun for Year 2! Remember to check out the rules before you post in our new temporary land, Tzakkou.

10/29/20 — Uncharted has begun to rumble restlessly! A Quest has begun in Gonnoth and our Wayfinders are underway to discover where that mysterious vibration is coming from. Happy spooky Halloween!

10/1/20 — Uncharted has officially reached Year Two of its IC timeline! Thank you all so much for joining us on this wonderful journey. In addition, be sure to investigate Atollon and Umbram, the two new herds available for your characters to be a member of.

1/21/21 — With the second parting of the fog, three new lands have been discovered. The jungles and steam vents of Muramasa Gorge have revealed themselves to Ryukotsusei, while the mountainous Taiga of Wyndroth Wood has bloomed from the mind of Feynrel.

Additionally, one sect of land has seen fit to lay its claim upon a ruler. To the West, the kingdom of Xe'shevii has sprung into existence beneath the helm of Finnryl.

1/1/21 — Winter has arrived, sealing away the once-desert in mist once more. However, on the outskirts of Uncharted's land, more of the fog has begun to part, leaving room for our Wayfinders to unearth new lands and, potentially, to claim a throne of their own.

12/1/20 —As the temperatures die down and welcome Autumn, Uncharted stirs once more. The land of Tzakkou has unfurled to the south of Prosfora Meadows. Those who choose to explore it will find that it has much to offer - but will they lose themselves in the dunes?

11/1/20 — The mugginess of Spring has abandoned Uncharted and made way for a hot, humid Summer. With the change in season comes Uncharted's acceptance of Arakses' new crown - the frigid peaks of Mraz have replaced what was once Umbram, ushering in a new era to this still-growing world.

10/29/20 — While the glow of Gonnoth's silent sentinels is regularly of no exciting consequence, the liths have begun to radiate their blue-green gleam more often than just in the springtime dusk. Apparently constant these days, the glow and the filigree that paint themselves upon the stone artifacts are harmless to passersby ─ but more recently, the usually stoic monoliths now emanate a solid, low hum. t first, the hum was quiet ─ only noticeable by those who ventured rather near to the liths, it hardly caused a second glance. But now... now, the hum can be heard throughout the entirety of E'renthas. And it can be felt, a low and foreboding vibration, in the pit of ones stomach and in the depths of their chest. But, while disconcerting, there is something about the hum that calls the curious, courageous, and cowardly alike to investigate its origins.

As Spring nears its end, it would appear that certain inhabitants of Uncharted have grown restless for change! Arakses has set her eyes on Umbram ─ the land is malleable and open to the disposition of a potential usurper. Will it accept her into its folds?

10/1/20 — Spring has returned, and with it comes the second year of Uncharted's existence. Much has changed within the land, with plenty of new realms for your characters to discover, and, potentially, new places to call their home.

9/20/20 — The Kingdom of Atollon has been discovered by Kira. To celebrate the new Kingdom, native peoples discovered with the island realm are hosting a festival that all are invited to.

Additionally, the realm of Umbram has been unearthed by its new sovereigns, Castalla and Wolfram. The kingdom is hosting a Masquerade ball to celebrate their founding.

9/1/20 — With autumn now past, Esmeda Forest has disappeared as mysteriously as it came, leaving behind only the gems that were taken and a wreath of impenetrable mist in its place. Winter has come now, seizing the strange land in a chill that grows icier by the day.

8/2/20 — Uncharted stirs.

With Autumn comes an imperceptible change in the world's underlying sorcery. The fabric of reality begins to fray and to the south of Prosfora Meadows, where nothing had once laid, grows a rainforest. Plucked from the not-so-distant memory of @Galahad, unseen forces bring this land to brief fruition and instill a sudden curiosity into the minds of its inhabitants to go south. Those who heed this desire to explore find Esmeda Forest and the opportunity for riches...

Prosfora Meadows

Nestled in the midst of a loosely-packed temperate forest, Prosfora Meadows unfurls its verdant carpet in anticipation of its new arrivals. It’s here, surrounded by long grasses and clusters of multicolored wildflowers, that newcomers first find themselves teleported into Uncharted. More often than not, the temperatures here are mild ─ however, the skies over Prosfora Meadows have proven their prowess in developing severe and dangerous thunderstorms during the heat of Summer.

This place seems steeped in a tale left untold, and left hastily. Surrounded by forest is a tumbledown village made up of a cluster of dwellings and public buildings; an inn, a library of largely unreadable tomes, a jail, and more. A crumbling ruin lays on the outskirts, surrounded by a graveyard. All are connected by streets of cobble and forking paths of well-packed dirt. At the center, there is a humble square, around which various market-stalls are up-turned, and wares of diverse and strange origins are strewn about. The sky is often overcast: it rains often, and the sun shines rarely. Winter comes like a mailed fist, often bitterly cold. Beyond the village to the west, there, on a clear, rising hillock, are two, concentric circles of polished, black standing stones, rising into the sky like bad omens.

Muramasa Gorge

Awe-inspiring both from a distance and up close, adventure awaits in the verdant, bamboo-rich cliffs and canyons of Muramasa Gorge. While contending with Prosfera Meadows in tranquility and beauty, the sudden drops and dark chasms below hide beneath the bright, vibrant surface that hosts a thick bamboo forest and whisper caution to explorers. In many locations, the bamboo shafts have grown so high that they bow down towards the stony soil, as if meditating in the silence that is only interrupted by birdsong. No matter how high your wings may carry you, or how low you may travel into the shadows of the canyons, the bamboo jungle seems to have overtaken the entire locale.

This sub-tropic jungle of greenery offers miles of exploration in the face of its cliffs, numerous moss riddled caves, and abounding bamboo forests. Shallow rivers ebb and flow through the cliffs and jungles, spilling into slender, misty waterfalls throughout the realm, making it a rather common occurrence to spy rainbows on sunny days.

Wyndroth Woods

A Taiga covered in lush pines, Wyndroth Woods is a land carved by the rivers and creeks that call this place home. Bound to the wills of the seasons, during the spring wild blooms can be found growing on the mountains while snow can be found there come winter. Many a traveler will find it easy to get lost in the thicket of pines, but trek far enough into this unmapped land and one will come across wonders very few have seen. Filled to the brim with wildlife (docile or otherwise), Wyndroth proves that no matter the harshest of conditions, life can prevail and thrive if given the opportunity.

A winding, serpentine twist of islands interspersed over crystalline, knee-deep waters, Atollon is an idyllic anomaly of salt and shoals settled in the midst of the Uncharted lands, its stretch of shallow seas fed by the river of Ilikos. None of Atollon's waters are deep enough to swim, and its cobalt seas are never swept into the swell of a storm; perpetually unaffected by the chill of winter, the blue springs are a nourishing supplement to the islands it guards.

From a distance, the tree-scattered atolls appear undomesticated and wild. Looking closer, however, reveals hovels and nature-made buildings occupied by Atollian natives. Infrastructure scatters the archipelago safely and neatly, taking gracious advantage of the close leaning trees and the natural land bridges that peek from the lapping tides of the shore.

In an arctic region, winter’s grasp never seems to loosen on these evergreen dotted mountains. Miles of tundra stand before travelers and these summits, sprinkled with sudden, mysterious drop-offs. Frost-laced spears with pennant flags guide wandering equine into the bowels of Mraz. If, however, the weary traveler pushes hard enough and navigates the white-out flurries and thick forests, they may find the precipice of Hearthstone. Protective, high walls of shale and stone rise above this basin. The only way down is to brave the natural, winding passages carved into the cliffside or take one of the lifts. At the heart of the basin, torchlight leads the tired through deep snowy passages towards clustered village cabins.

Xe’shevii

Xe’shevii, upon first impressions, is a vast wasteland made up of soft desert sand and dangerous canyons. However, as one observes closely, they will soon discover the mysterious pink hue that covers the entire land. The sand itself is a soft pink color, much like that of a cherry blossom tree. The canyons that crack the land apart are deep and mysterious; they provide a unique maze through the sweltering sands aboveground. These canyons are often narrow and smooth, with strange shapes carved into the walls. They almost never go fully underground, but are always open to the sky in all areas.

This land is nearly completely dry, with very little water nearby or a cloud in the sky. The seasons do not affect it like in other regions, but in the winter, the day is noticeably hotter and the night frigid. Only in the spring do plants begin to appear in the shadows of the canyons or in the shade of sand dunes.
