ᛝ Antlers resemble the extinct deer Eucladoceros and have engraved Norse runes upon the longest tines.
ᛝ Body is fit and meant more for speed than power, however is certainly able to hold his own if need be.
ᛝ Hidden scars of a past life score his hide. A claw mark from a particularly large cat-like creature marks his left side from neck to shoulder.
ᛝ Often carries himself in a confident if not wild and untamed manner. Might be best depicted and described as, one would say, 'feral'.
ᛝ Bright wine colored eyes.
ᛝ Appaloosa markings upon his hind that meld into more specific stripes along and down his body. Stripes form at his hocks and upper forelegs.
ᛝ Mane and tail are wildly unkempt and often tangle and create dreads, being seen with braids and adorned in Nordic runes or shrubbery/greenery from the surrounding wilds is definitely not an uncommon sight.

Personality

Ever since he was young Vid has been a more quiet presence than anything else; but this shouldn't be mistaken for passivity. Vid is nothing soft or careful or gentle; he is made of rough edges and reckless abandon, summer winds and deep-forest resilience.

There is a certain way in which he views the world and acts upon it that shows a rough, rogueish disposition within him. He is unknown to the gentle touch and much prefers the blunt clarity of playful shoves that border on camaraderie, the bump of heads with rough affection. He does not know how to hold delicate things, has never learned anything past a will to fight and a boldness to run.

Past this, the prospect of deep, emotional feelings are foreign subjects to him. Vid would much rather keep his private, raw feelings to himself rather than share and open up to another; it draws from him a certain discomfort that resides in a place he cannot reach, and so prefers to avoid touching it at all and puts up a less than serious front in order to defend it.

He would never admit he was afraid of feeling deeply; but this is precisely the reason.

Physically is how he speaks most clearly. Vid is not a particularly chatty individual, though he can speak just fine: it is merely that he prefers to think, feel, and speak through the timeless energy of body language where he is most comfortable, as he grew up upon these grounds of communication and to stray from it is like forgetting parts of himself most integral to his character.

Bold and headstrong, Vid is also under the impression that if there is something you want in life, then you must take it: he doesn't handle failures well, and he is self-serving and confident enough that to deter himself from a goal is next to impossible, unless something 'more' gathers his attention and offers something else for him.

Has not the best view on fathers or other masculine figures, as his own was scarce at best and abandoned he and his sister at worst. Vid was made to believe he cared little for them, and in the very least refused to get past their mother's gruff disposition to simply visit them at any point of time. Sour with the gifts he would bring upon the eve of significant holidays, but could never understand why seeing or visiting them, especially when they grew up, was too hard a task to attempt. Raised up in a monarchal family; has an absolute and outstanding respect for women. Was once told by his mothers that he had no need to respect or love the one who had been his sire; and so clung to this and held onto it. The lack of a father hardly hindered him in any aspect of life, however, as his family was whole and loving and he wanted for practically nothing in their open lives.

Socially, Vid also has a knack for being a little flirtatious if he so feels it; but this, too, is a front of feign comfort and the words are hardly meant with weight of any sort. This aspect of his personality simply feeds into his lack of sobriety and liveliness, which he rarely if ever shows to be without.

Beginning Vid was born with screaming in his ears.

Ever since he was born he had been the quiet one. With a twin sister to make up noise for both of them, Vid had always remained quiet and watchful. However, that wasn't to say he didn't have his fair share of turbulence and rogueish fun as a child, as he and his sister would run about unabashed and fearless in their tiny hearts' endeavors. They felt no fear in the shadow of impossibly huge beasts, though quite often, as it so normally is for the youngest to exhibit, would let his sister run risks before he himself would dive deep into them.

Quite often, however, was there things to learn in the harder ways; when wounds were first introduced he was very young, though was equally as quick to realize the normalcy of them. Got in more than a bit of trouble in his childhood, thus leading to the normalcy of more physical interactions. With this normalcy, however, he would learn that it was part of life and lesson as much as it frustrated and inconvenienced him when his wounds would show themselves and healing provided a slow and grueling process, but this only lent further ammo to the growing quake that was his older years.

It was upon the cusp of his teenhood that he would show a certain understanding and learn what vigor tasted like for the first time. Trying to enact revenge of his own upon an unwarranted physical assault upon himself led only to his family and close family-friends becoming a bloody and tired heap as they'd rushed to his defense. He had nothing to arm himself but a pitiful growth of budding antlers and his spitting tongue and teeth. What he felt and learned was the early beginnings of what a cycle of revenge could enact upon not only him, but the family he loved and cared for so dearly. What it was like to cause a battle, and though he was left unsatisfied and even further confused and frustrated by this truth, would swallow down his anger, much to his irritation. He had shouted for the first time and found that keeping quiet had been in his interest from the start, yet still found ire in this truth of life.

But he would put it behind him eventually. Able to be tucked away into a different world, far from the trials and tribulations of his birthplace and far more close and snug with family, Vid would eventually branch out enough that he could never unwind himself and find his way back home to that peaceful cove again. Homesickness was never a terribly prominent thing in his gut, for his family was known to wander and so, would stick to the roads of his endless journeys with an insatiable wanderlust to guide him. And so he finds himself here; Uncharted.
