Personality
"He who cannot obey himself is commanded."
- Friedrich Nietzsche, Thus Spoke Zarathustra
He grew up simply and obediently; however not without the occasional bumps along the road.
In general, he has become a prideful sort of being, yet not overly or agonizingly so. He knows the awkwardness and shame with growing up filled with mistakes, yet similarly the duty and responsibility for what his birth meant, and what he was meant to inherit and learn from.
Still the quiet, collective, introspective and curious creature he was in the beginning, he now has a larger understanding of the world in which he lives, a respect given to everything on first basis, yet just as similarly knowing of the bad things and people within it. Perhaps what aids in his quieted and observant demeanor is a wish to catch them before they first even step foot into his presence; knowing he'd be far too kind to deny them benefit of the doubt, and likely hurt himself in the process should they not be what they were in the beginning. He is protective of himself, his name and his family above all, yet he would not deny the hurt and shame he'd bring himself should he allow anything and anyone harmful close to him or his kin. While he is friendly, he is also extensively guarded - almost solemnly so, as he wishes it not to be so and for only all to know warmth so that there would be no need for wars, conflict, or hate.
Yet by now, he knows such a wish is too far off to achieve. Too far out of reach.
He is a healer as much as he is a warrior.
He comes here in search of a lost sister. He focuses on this course of action above all, in hopes of not losing himself along the way.
History
"We began as wanderers, and we are wanderers still. We have lingered long enough on the shores of the cosmic ocean. We are ready at last to set sail for the stars."
- Carl Sagan
Beginning
Born in a forest worlds away, Leovys entered the world during a heavy rainstorm with the beating of thunder and hooves upon the mud, after the death of two of which would threaten he and his twin brother's lives. Underneath a large tree nestled between ferns, his father soaking with the blood from defending his new - and first - family, whilst his mother lay out of breath and aching with the new experience of childbirth.
But they had made it. Watched over by friends and family alike, he and his brother were named to honor their respective, deceased grandfathers and their life began in a land now left behind.
He would grow for some time within this world before duties expected of them drew his family to their (at the time, unknown) home world. He would indulge his desire to heal rather than harm until he came of age that he could begin to help, to do something, instead of being an inconvenience because of age and size - something he knew very well that he was at the time. While healing remains a great part of him thanks to his mother, he knows how to defend himself and others should the need ever arise.
It is after many years and many hardships that he comes to Sovereign on the back of a boat after a rift, a sign of his lost sister had come to his family's ears in waves. He had been the first to volunteer to find her, to believe in her living somewhere in a world away from theirs, from Vritra. He attempted to gain the support of his family to no avail - the grief still nestled too deep for them to risk losing another child to some likely rumor. But he had felt it; he can feel the bond of a distant family member no matter how faint or disbelieving it may be.
That is what draws him upon the boat and to Sovereign's shores. To find his lost sister.

Vitakinesis
This particular form of healing magic extends itself from Leovys' voice. His abilities are most potent when his words are used and entwine with his magic. This is an ability inherited from his mother; though he does not possess the shifting abilities she does. Upon entering Alanaris his once-potent magic is stripped and reset; nothing he isn't accustomed to, as he has never used it extensively before nor has he needed to do so. Generally reserved when it comes to his magic, he is most often likely to be found practicing on his own in private, if not to gradually reacquaint himself with the idea of magic once again. After manipulation via a Darkness from a now-abandoned land, he is uncertain and afraid of the idea that it never truly left him, and if he should slip in any way, it may consume him again.
Generally, the healing occurs in whatever way may be able; though healing someone close to death is possible, it takes a considerable amount of his life force to do so. Most commonly, the healing is offered by transferring life force; Leovys may take wounds and wear them himself and heal the one he is helping in the process. As his magic grows the wounds may only appear if extensive use is in play, but Leovys cannot bring anyone back from the dead and only at Imperium level may he potentially save a life close to death; this is a gamble, however, and generally calls for a 1d2 roll for success/failure.
Aspirant
At base level, Leovys is aware of his magic yet without the proper ability to use it extensively or effectively. If he attempts to use his magic, the effects are more taxing on him than to offer a productive outcome for healing. For this reason Leovys keeps practicing his magic controlled and subtle; and never used on others for fear of a negative outcome.
Neophyte
With a better hold on his magic, Leovys is now able to heal cuts and transfer them over to himself. The process remains taxing, however, but it's no longer as difficult as it is at Aspirant level, making it able to be used on small wounds and abrasions. These wounds will transfer over onto Leovys as the magic does, but it will be coupled with exhaustion. The intensity of exhaustion depends on how much and how long Leovys uses his magic, though it's still difficult regardless.
Paladin
Leovys can now heal deep wounds and lacerations. Exhaustion and weakness is less experienced, but still able to manifest if particularly large wounds are healed. Transferring of wounds onto his own person is slightly slowed, but generally close. (i.e. healing a large laceration will transfer the same laceration onto Leovys.)
Imperium
Now able to heal more fluently, Leovys is able to treat large wounds and heal more without the threat of growing weak from magic usage. While the wounds transferring over onto Leovys' person is slowed (a laceration healed may instead bring a deep cut onto Leo) the more and longer he has to use his magic, the more wounds will appear on his body. He is capable in this right to bring back someone from near-death, but the attempt taxes him for several days and is up to a 1d2 roll for success/failure.
